Old Blue Bell Inn |
By the close of the 19th century, citizens voted to ban 'the sale of intoxicating liquors in the town,' thus bringing to a close the days of Milton taverns. The Blue Bell, originally the headquarters of the Granite Railway, was one of the last Milton taverns to close its doors. The East Milton Post Office now sits on the site. You can read more about Milton's taverns in Linda Pirie's article in our Milton Sampler |
