| The 75' home which Daniel Vose called his "mansion" in his will was destroyed by fire on January 15, 1861. At the time of the fire, it was owned by Edmund J. Baker, Daniel's grandson. Nathaniel F. Safford was renting an upstairs room for his law office and lost all his books in the fire. |
